For my post production feedback I decided to show friends and family both online and in person on what the strengths and limitations were of my magazine. Overall I had quite different reactions.
Most people had said that my double page spread was the strongest page as the colours blended well together and grabbed them to want to actually read the magazine. As it was mainly 3 colours and not a lot of different bright colours. How ever two people said they wished that the article was longer so that they would feel like they are getting what they pay for, in the magazine.
For my contents page everyone had said that it was my weakest page as it didn’t grab them to want to carry on reading the magazine. Personally I agree with this as my contents page is a bit bland and plain as I had chose purposely to put it like this as I was following a convention of a real magazine called vibe. Which had just one little picture and writing. They did say that although it was weak the articles which included a variety of different subjects made them want to read it. I feel next time I would spend longer time on my contents page to ensure it is as strong as the rest of the other pages as I feel this let me down the most.
People had different opinions on my front cover one person said “ It is well layed out and looks like an r&b magazine as on top of the title it has a few artists names with stars in between”. Where as another person had said “ That as the artist didn’t look like R&B singer it made the front weaker” They then carried on reading the rest of the magazine and read the article and saw that this was because they changed genres as to why she is dressed like that. Next time I would choose to make sure her genre change is clearer on the front cover, so that it does not confuse people into what genre my magazine actually is.
